What is Feldenkrais Method

Feldenkrais Method is an extraordinary global system of body education that uses movement to reach self awareness and improve self image.
Feldenkrais Method gives the possibility to organize movements and actions we do in our everyday life (getting up, stretching, taking an object, sitting on) a improving your general wellness.
This body perception arrives spontaneously when people are aware of their habits and discover the best alternative to their movements.
Through different experiences the method allows body movements to flow and feel more conscious so that your gestures improve and yourself awareness improves.
Our everyday life gets more vital and smooth with flexibility and lightness and becomes more precise and efficient permitting a more dynamic full life. Practising feldrenkrais allows to better react to the surrounding world and reach wellbeing.
In order to practice this method, it’s enough to have curiosity and be open to the exploration of ourselves and listen to our body.

The lessons can be in groups or individual. Every group lesson (ATM awareness throughout movement) is an opportunity to slow down and eliminate unnecessary tensions.
F. Method is based on the exploration of unusual sequences practiced mainly lying on the floor.
These are planned in order to refine new ways of learning trying to deepen the awareness. Being present in every gesture you make.
The stress shouldn’t be on doing something in the right or wrong way.
It’s an exploration, a process which gives a wide range of movement options to our nervous system. The teacher guides movements by verbal instructions inviting to explore with curiosity and creativity every little gesture and through different actions like turning around, bending down, getting up, walking, moving your head.
It’s for everyone without age limits.

In the individual lesson (FI functional integration) the student is lying on a bed it’s also possible to stay seated or standing).
The teacher uses a non invasive touch technique to make the person aware of his functional organization and suggests new way to make his/ her body more efficient. Touch is always respectful and
soft, never forcing, allowing the student’s learning.
